As most of you probably don't know, I am moving out of my apartment. Where to? I don't really know yet, but that's what keeps life interesting. Last night I started packing my clothes. Like most women, my wardrobe is too large to fit into a suitcase, so a good deal of clothing is going into storage. I was feeling a bit stressed about packing everything, so I decided to start picking out the pieces I would really like to keep with me to make it more fun. I snapped off some photos of a few things that are making me particularly happy at the moment...
First off, I'm obsessed with crop tops, especially all the ones I have been making out of old tees and tanks! I think this is partially because I love wearing bandeau tops and girly versions of sport bras. Secondly, I have been wearing nothing but jean shorts. I am particularly fond of these denim cutoffs I made from a pair of jeans I had since high school. The denim is super soft and will probably only make it through this one summer before all the fabric totally disintegrates. They are full of holes and patches and safety pins, but they are my favorite shorts of the moment! Here, I paired them with a belt from The Gap. Lastly, who hasn't been loving maxi-skirts for a good while now? I found this one at an antique mall in Ohio where I always manage to score something brilliant! I love the tribal type print and the fact that it's black and white. I have no idea what year it's from or who made it, but I love it!
Hopefully I will have some time for a few more posts before moving out. Things are about to get interesting and I plan on shooting all of it!

The First Dress Of Spring...Almost
Last night I had a bridal shower to attend for one of my closest friends. It was held at one of the areas historical mansions that typically offers tea and lunch during the afternoons, so of course I decided that it was time to bust out a spring dress suitable for such an occasion. The only problem was that it's Erie and Spring is barely here. I wore the dress anyway, but had to accessorize with tights and a suiting jacket rather than my vintage pillbox hat and lacy white gloves. Here is how I wore the outfit...
I found the dress at Macy's a couple of years ago and ripped out a bunch of toile and other poofy materials along with the tag, so I don't remeber what the brand is. The indigo tights and the jacket are from The Limited. The shoes are Rosegold, which I found at Urban Outfitters. The bag is my new Kate Spade :) The rosebud earrings are from my friend Leslie.
I'm thinking I need to accessorize with jewely more often, but I always end up fussing with it all night! If anyone has any good jewelry suggestions I'd love to here them!

Second Hand Birthday Land...Plus A Little Something New
So I had a birthday about a week and a half ago and it was full of vintage wonders. From my boyfriend, I received the most adorable vintage bag (in superb condition!) that reminds me of a fashionable fishing creel. I was also gifted a pretty little gold watch from his mom that actually belonged to her mother. I love it! Nextly, even though it wasn't for my birthday, I was given some second hand jewelry from a friend in exchange for photographing some of her products for her retail website. I will be sharing more photos from that endeavor soon. Lastly, I purchased myself a lovely little Kate Spade bag with some birthday monies.

| Yes that's a real scorpion btw! |
I am so into d.i.y. projects and second hand items lately, vintage or not. I am also obsessed with my scorpion ring! It makes me wish I was actually a Scorpio. Sigh...if only they could fit a tiny bull into some sort jewelry. I would wear that!
Anyhow...I have couple more pieces that I treated myself to over my birthday that I will hopefully be able to share soon. Time is not exactly abundant this month, but oh will I make an effort. Also, the Inspiration project has been moved to a back burner for the moment. There is oh so much to do and just not enough time! But I guess that's life they say...whoever "they" really are.
Lastly lastly, the green dress is from Urban Outfitters, Urban Renewal. That is all <3
