No They Are Not Raybans.

I never knew that Etsy was such a great source for shopping until I opened the Mostly Clothes shop a couple of months ago. I thought it was primarily a source for finding things like handmade potholders and hair scrunchies, but boy was I wrong! It turns out that it's really hard for me not to blow all my money in some of the best vintage shops I've ever seen. For example, I want pretty much everything at Vintage50sEyewear. The shop is nothing but vintage eyeglasses from all eras, and some of the price points start as low as $50. They even have a vintage pair of Dior sunglasses frames! Here are a few of my favorites...

I have worn glasses since the second grade so by the time I was in middle school I had really learned how to work them into my fashion identity. I started wearing thicker frames that had a vintage feel to them. My current pair is from Moscot, a company who has been representing classically "geek chic" frames long before the trend ever happened, so it kind of drives me nuts when everyone asks if they are Raybans. With "geekier" glasses frames being overly popular at the moment, going with a truly vintage pair is the best way to make the look your own. I know I'm going this route next time I visit the eye doctor!

Hahah you're too cool for school! If it's any consolation, I never thought they were Raybans! Obviously because you so very much make them your own I don't associate them with anything else.

These frames are groovy. If I was game enough, I would totally rock them too. Hope all is well with you.

Keep in touch.
