Holiday Spirit

I'm off to my parents' hunting camp to spend a few days relaxing in the sun, doing Fourth of July type things. I think that the fourth has become my mom and dads' favorite holiday since they take the whole week to get away and spend a lot of time doing nothing!

These shots are from last year at Tom's parents' house. The Fourth of July to me is all about relaxing and being comfortable, so I don't usually attempt to don a patriotic ensemble that also requires my hair and makeup to be done, especially since I'm usually in the woods somewhere for this particular holiday. Here I'm sporting an American Apparel mini skirt, a bandeau top, a handmade bracelet, and a button down that belonged to Tom when he was a boy. Also, forget the heels or wedges. Barefoot all the way baby! I'm not sure what I'll be wearing out of town today, but you can bet it will be something super casual. Hopefully I'll have some images to share when I get back.
